Emma Victoria McCully, 89 of Ramey died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born Oct. 23, 1927 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Hansel) Matea.
She graduated in 1945 from Bigler Township High School. She worked as a seamstress for many years.
She was also a Notary Public and the owner of Ramey Garage. She was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
On Sept. 4, 1952, she married Robert McCully at Centre Street Methodist Church in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death Sept. 9, 2016.
She is survived by her children, Geraldine McCully and Charles McCully and his wife, Joyce, both of Ramey, and Robert McCully, and his wife, Kim of Lancaster; a sister, Florence Broberg of Mesa, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Britney, Kelley, Katie, Ashley and Erin.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances McCully; two brothers, Thomas and Charles Matea; and three sisters, Marie Oplinsky, Joann Veach and Bertha Matea.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, (everyone please meet at the church), and the Rev. Zab Amar will be celebrant. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
