State police at Clearfield
- State police reported a hit-and-run occurred Tuesday on the Philipsburg-Bigler Highway in Boggs Township. According to the report, a vehicle was likely traveling north with a garbage bag in its rear. State police say it’s likely a tire and six cans of beer fell out of the bag. When the tire fell out, it traveled off the roadway and impacted the side of a house. The tire caused damage to the house, and the operator of the vehicle is unknown at this time. State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred Dec. 6 on South Eagle Valley Road in Worth Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a Christmas tree valued at $34.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported a DUI/drug violation that occurred Tuesday on West Mahoning Street in Punxsutawney Borough. Troopers stopped a Punxsutawney man for an equipment violation and allegedly found him to be under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- On Dec. 18 state police initiated an investigation regarding the alleged interference of child custody.
State police at Ridgway
- State police reported an incident of identity theft occurred Monday on East Teaberry Street in Weedville. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s credit card to make online purchases, totaling $2,137.92. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on South Third Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police were able to assist a female who had called for a tow truck.
- Police, along with street crew and fire personnel, responded to a reported gas leak on Merrill and Weaver streets. According to the report, a gas meter was frozen and releasing gas; the gas company responded to correct it.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly in possession of illegal drugs at Children & Youth Services. As a result, police collected a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm on Spruce Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred along Daisy Street. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a traffic light malfunction at the intersection of River Road and the Clearfield-Shawville Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged retail theft at the Uni-Mart in Hyde.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication that occurred on Supercenter Drive.
- Police received a report about possible case of child pornography. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about medications that were allegedly stolen in the area of Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly being disorderly at the Skate Station. He was removed from the premises and charges are to be filed against him.
- Police received a report about a minor motor vehicle accident at Sheetz along Route 879. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
Sandy Township
- On Monday a 19-year-old DuBois woman lost control of her vehicle while traveling on Slab Run Road. According to the report, this caused her vehicle to travel across the roadway and into the Sheetz parking lot, striking the building and coming to a rest. She suffered moderate injuries, and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
- On Monday a vehicle driven by an 81-year-old DuBois woman pulled into the parking lot of Eat ‘N Park and into the path of a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Grampian woman. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- On Monday police reported a false alarm that occurred at a San Spur Road residence.
- On Tuesday a 52-year-old Time To Bid Road man reported that a 69-year-old DuBois man with whom he’d been friends was now harassing him.
- On Tuesday police reported a false alarm at TJ Maxx.
