Wilbur Duane Martell, 69, of Wallaceton died, Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born May 16, 1947 in Clearfield, he was the son of Calvin and Gloria Hunt Martell, who survive in Goshen.
On Nov. 20, 1982 in Winburne, he wed Mary Jane Maines Martell, who survives in Wallaceton.
Along with his parents and wife, surviving are his son, Rob Martell of Allport; step-children, Michele Boob and her husband, Kelly of Munson and Barry Lannen of Morrisdale; grandchildren, Kyle Boob, Nathan Boob and Dorian Lannen; and great-granddaughter, Cora Jade Boob.
Also surviving are his sister, Sharon Picard of Goshen and David “Shorty” Martell of Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by Donna Stiner.
Mr. Martell was affiliated with the Protestant faith.
He was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968, where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the Sharp Shooter Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a member of the Leigey-Renaud Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8386, Frenchville, and of the Clearfield Loyal Order of the Moose, No. 97.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
