Gary John Feldbauer, 71, of RD Philipsburg died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at his residence.
Born Feb. 7, 1945 in St. Marys, he was a son of the late Alvin Feldbauer and Alice (Groll) Feldbauer Rote and his step-father, Walter Rote.
Mr. Feldbauer was a graduate of the St. Marys High School.
He was married Oct. 31, 1988 in Kylertown to the former Arlene M. Fry, who survives at home.
He was a butcher/meat cutter throughout his working career. He was employed for many years with a number of Bi-Lo Markets, including the Philipsburg, Williamsport and St. Marys locations.
He also owned and operated his own home business, “Gary’s Deer Cutting Shop” for many years. Most recently, he was employed with Hogs Galore of RD Philipsburg.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Feldbauer and one half-sister, Evelyn “Eve” Knepp.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Stacy Lewis and her husband, Jim of Ridgway, Corinne Celenski and her husband, Troy of Florida and Ashley Fleck and her husband, Jason of Philipsburg.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Harley, Kiara, Olivia, Marek, CeAna and Parker; one step-son, William Colton Jr. of Philipsburg; three step-grandchildren, Zoey, Julia and Cooper; one sister, JoAnn Weis and her husband, Daniel of Lancaster; one brother, Walter “Ed” Rote of St. Marys; and his best friend, “Lucky.”
Mr. Feldbauer enjoyed hunting and riding all-terrain vehicles; he also loved fly-fishing. Everyone loved to hear and will remember his “laugh.”
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Deacon Dennis Socash officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys.
