JEFFERSON COUNTY A seven mile stretch of Interstate 80 is closed due to a 59-vehicle pile-up that occurred this morning in Washington Township, Jefferson County.
The accident was reported around 8:06 a.m. near mile marker 95 on Interstate 80 eastbound.
Fifty-nine vehicles – including 37 cars and 22 tractor trailers – were involved in the pile-up.
Multiple emergency agencies have been dispatched to the scene. No serious injuries have been reported.
Traffic is being detoured at Exit 90, according to DuBois-based state police. The roadway is closed from Exit 90 (Route 830 East/DuBois Regional Airport) to Exit 97 (Route 219/DuBois/Brockway).
