Joyce E. Roessner, 65, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born June 17, 1951 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Chester and Mildred (Gray) Dixon.
Mrs. Roessner was employed at the former McTag Manufacturing, Philipsburg.
She then worked in the cafeteria at the Clearfield School District and later at St. Francis School from which she retired.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory A. Roessner, to whom she was wed Oct. 20, 1979 in St. Francis, Clearfield; two sons, Kevin Roessner and his wife, Holly of Coudersport and Todd J. Roessner of Clearfield; two grandsons, Mason and Gavin; and a sister, Joann Hummel and her husband, James of Morrisdale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chester D. Dixon.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Msgr. Henry L. Krebs officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
