Vivian Dufour, 95, of Houtzdale and a guest of Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at Colonial Courtyard.
Born Aug. 11, 1921, she was the daughter of Michael and Eliza (Sharpless) Archer.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale. She enjoyed baking, needlework, bingo and talking to her friends.
On Sept. 30, 1940 in Houtzdale, she married Adolph (Jack) Dufour, who preceded her in death March 3, 2000.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra (Larry) Dugan of Houtzdale; a son, Richard (Deborah) Dufour of Osceola Mills; and a daughter-in-law, Dolly Dufour of Battle Creek, Mich.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Thomas Dufour of Chio, Mich., Beth Ann Dufour of Woodstock, Ga., Lawrence Dugan of Mechanicsburg, Timothy Dugan of Mount Pleasant and Ian Dufour of North Huntingdon; nine great-grandchildren, Craig and Stephanie Dufour of Davidson, Mich., Diana Dufour and Justin Brown of Mount Morris, Mich., Amber Dowland of Chio, Mich., Alexander and Kaitlyn Dugan of Mechanicsburg and Kyra and Kiley Dugan of Irwin; and a sister, Marion Hopkins of Houtzdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eugene; seven brothers, Edward, Thomas, Michael, Robison, Ambrose, Joseph and Stephen; and three sisters, Gladys Domick, Margaret Glasshouser and Mae Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
