James A. Siemucha, 73, of DuBois died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh surrounded by his family.
Born Aug. 20, 1943, he was the son of the late Albert and Violet (Rutkowski) Siemucha.
He was a 1961 graduate of the DuBois Area High School, and he was a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in finance.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in Germany during the Vietnam War.
On Nov. 14, 1964, he married Mary L. (Kruk) Siemucha. She survives.
He retired as a mortgage specialist with B.F. Saul Mortgage in Bathesda, Md. Prior to that, he was a computer salesman for I.B.M. and Dicomed for more than 20 years.
He was an avid hunter and especially loved to play golf and travel. He was a kind-hearted person and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.
He is survived by three children, Tonja Siemucha of Clarksburg, Md., Tina Reinl and her husband, Torsten of Seattle, Wash., and Dr. Jeyhun Canpolat and his wife, Aylin of Istanbul, Turkey; a sister, Jane Castonguay and her husband, Dick of DuBois; and two grandchildren, Defne and Selin.
There will be no public visitation.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
