Martha M. Carles, 84, of Morrisdale died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Feb. 13, 1932 in Drifting, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Krollman Folmar.
On March 6, 1952, she wed Robert M. Carles, who preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2014.
Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Carles and his wife, Carol of Morrisdale and Ronald L. Carles and his wife, Jeanette of Houtzdale; his grandchildren, Allen R. Carles, Rhonda Carles, Lisa Wills, Joseph R. Carles, Jason Carles, Donny Merritt and Jenny Merritt; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Pauline Hubler of Morrisdale and a brother, Harold Folmar of Philipsburg.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded by a daughter, Louise Ann Merritt; sisters, Marie Peddigre and Leona Veneziano; and brothers, William and Clair Folmar.
Mrs. Carles was a member of the First Baptist Church, Philipsburg. She was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren and family.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Strange & Weaver Funeral Service with Pastor Ted Seibert officiating. Burial will be in the Allport Cemetery, Allport.
