Terry R. Leid, 61, of Hawk Run died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 at his residence.
Born Aug. 16, 1955, in West Grove, Chester County, Pa., he was a son of the late Edwin E. and Julio (Coldiron) Leid.
Mr. Leid was a 1974 graduate of the West Branch Area High School.
He spent most of his life living in the Morrisdale – Hawk Run area. He was first employed with the former Corning–Asahi Video Products, State College.
Then, he was employed as a carpenter and most recently as a self-employed drywall finisher.
Mr. Leid was a member of the Carpathian Club, Hawk Run; a former member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Association, Frenchville; and a member of the pool team for Sutton’s, Hawk Run. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Jean Materkowski.
He is survived by a sister, Tonya R. Hahn and her husband, Frank of Lanse; one brother, Rodney A. Leid and his wife, Abby K. of Oxford, Pa; Lisa Hotory of North Carolina, whom he loved like a daughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the cancer research organization of the donor’s choice.
