Rosalie M. Irwin, 84, of Curwensville died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born Feb. 14, 1932 in Glen Richey, a daughter of the late Bryan and Ruth (Hiese) Peoples.
Mrs. Irwin had been employed by the former Clearfield Cheese Company from 1973 until 1988. She was also employed by Kent Sportswear for 12 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Irwin of Curwensville; a son, Daniel J. Irwin and his wife, Laurie of Curwensville; five grandchildren, Charlotte Elensky, Scott Irwin, Todd Irwin, Cory Irwin and Shane Irwin; three great-grandchildren, Tanner and Ty Elensky and Adena Civils; a sister, Shirley Walk of Avis; and a brother, James Peoples of Illinois.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Irwin, on Dec. 30, 2008 and to whom she was wed Nov. 6, 1948 in Curwensville.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Derrick III; five sisters, Dorothy Withey, Marie Rummings, Louise Rummings, Jean Selfridge and Althea Hudson; and four brothers, Lester, Ted, Fay and Jack Peoples.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Curwensville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with the Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
