Donald Austin Bilger, 80, of Grampian died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield after a lengthy illness.
Born July 1, 1936, he was the son of Dorsey and Gusie (Ellinger) Bilger.
Mr. Bilger had been a truck driver for the former Brown Brothers Trucking in Clearfield, and after that, he had been a mechanic for Weisgarber Auto Sales of Clearfield.
On Feb. 27, 1960 in Rockton, he wed the former Norma J. Gearhart, who survives, along with two sons, Jeffrey Bilger and his wife, Lori of Lumber City and Darren Bilger and his wife, Brenda of St. Louisville, Ohio.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Velma “Vicki” Thomas of Grampian and Wilda “Skip” McInturff of Granville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Bilger; and a brother, Calvin Bilger.
Funeral services for Mr. Bilger will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Faith Bible Church, Grandview Avenue, Lumber City, with the Rev. Scott Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Greenville Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
