Maria Ann Sturniolo, 87, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born Feb. 25, 1929 in Drifting, a daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Livesky) Harvey.
Mrs. Sturniolo was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her family. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Mark Sturniolo, to whom she was married June 1, 1949 in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by three sons, John Sturniolo and his wife, Maria of Stafford, Va., Dr. Frank Sturniolo Jr. and his wife, Dr. Marsha Sladeski of Buffalo, NY and Damon Sturniolo and his wife, Courtney of San Clemente, Calif., and a grandson, John Anthony Sturniolo.
She is survived by a sister, Theresa Carlson of Clearfield and three brothers, Bill Harvey of South Carolina, Richard Harvey and his wife, Gail of Philipsburg and John Harvey and his wife, Margaret of Drifting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Albert Harvey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Fr. John Miller as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.
At the funeral home Sunday, a Christian Vigil Service will be said at 1:45 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 p.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield. .
