CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST) invites children, teens and young adults to audition for their upcoming production of The Snow Queen.
Hans Christian Anderson’s classic and beautiful Solstice fairytale makes for possibly one of the finest new children’s plays. Adapted by Stuart Paterson and Savourna Stevenson, The Snow Queen is a haunting adventure, both moving and funny; it’s fitting for the whole family.
Auditions will be held Sunday, Oct. 16 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 17 and 18 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Anyone who is between the ages of 10 and 20 years old is welcome to audition.
Show dates are Dec. 9, 10, 15, 16, 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. Members of the cast are expected to be present for all performances.
Those who are interested in auditioning should come prepared with a short song to sing for members of the production team. They will also be asked to read from the script. A list of possible conflicts prior to the show dates would also be greatly appreciated.
In addition to young performers, CAST also seeks those who may be interested in building sets, running lights and sound equipment, assisting with publicity, assembling costumes, and volunteering in general.
