Alice I. Ardery, 83, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Thomas Harris, after a brief illness.
Born May 16, 1933 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Glenn and Ethel (Muir) Knepp.
Mrs. Ardery had worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Crawford Door Sales, until her retirement. She was a 1951 graduate of the Clearfield High School.
She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women.
On April 13, 1954 in Winchester, Va., she wed Glenn W. Ardery, who preceded her in death March 1, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and an aunt, Zora Gaylor.
Surviving are five children, Donald Glenn Ardery and his wife, Pam of Chambersburg, Debra Harris and her husband, Thomas and Linda Young and her husband, Tom, both of Clearfield, Terry Ardery and his wife, Barbara of Findlay, Ohio and Randy Ardary and his wife, Connie of Fremont, Ohio.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Donald Knepp and his companion, Alana of Fulton, Mo., and Stanley Knepp and his wife, Judy of Florida and a sister-in-Law, Evelyn Pentz of New Jersey.
At the request of Mrs. Ardery, there will be no public visitation or services.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
