June E. Peck, 94, of DuBois and formerly of Athens, Pa., died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at Christ the King Manor.
Born July 16, 1922 in Lake Placid, NY, she was the daughter of the late David and Nancy (Winch) Bickford.
She retired from Marine Midland Bank in Waverly, NY after a 30-year banking career. She was always active in her church, as she was often serving as the treasurer.
She loved children. She worked as a “surrogate grandma” for a Head Start program until she was 88 years old.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Dr. Eric Peck and his wife, Charity of DuBois, Heather Klossner and her husband, Chris of Barton, NY and Brett Peck and his wife, Miranda of Cleveland, Ga., and seven great-grandchildren, Sadie, Egan, Cade, Emma, Kyan, Cole and Titus Peck.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Peck, three sisters, Jennie, Octavia and Marie and five brothers, Dave, Sheridan, Dean, Paul and Press.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Chapel at Christ the King Manor with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.
