State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Sept. 24 in Curwensville. Further, a Curwensville resident was cited for the incident, and the case remains open pending disposition through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- State police reported an incident of DUI/drug possession that occurred Sunday on U.S. Route 322 in Winslow Township. Further, state police stopped a 24-year-old Reynoldsville man for a traffic violation, and he was subsequently taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, state police said. Charges are currently pending finalized blood test results.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Monday on Grant Street in Reynoldsville Borough. During the incident, two men allegedly engaged in a physical altercation following a verbal argument. Both were cited for harassment through the district court, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Sept. 9 on Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. When troopers responded to a reported crash, they determined a Philipsburg teen had allegedly driven his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, and the incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Sept. 14 at the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. During the incident, two juvenile males were allegedly involved in a fight. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported a DUI that occurred Saturday on Route 36 and Locust Street in Mahaffey Borough. Further, a Mahaffey man was stopped for several violations, and state police determined he’d allegedly been driving after drinking a sufficient amount of alcohol. He was transported to the hospital for blood testing, which showed his BAC was 0.106 percent. Charges were filed through the district court as a result, state police said.
- State police reported a DUI involving drug possession Saturday in the parking lot of the Sheetz store in Punxsutawney Borough. At the scene, state police observed a Walston, Pa., man in control of a Punxsutawney teen’s vehicle. When troopers approached, they allegedly detected a strong odor of marijuana. Upon investigation the man was found to have recently smoked marijuana before driving to Sheetz; both the man and the teen girl were found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, state police said. The man was taken to the hospital for chemical testing, and charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Sept. 11 on Route 119 in Henderson Township. Further, the victim told troopers that a 24-year-old Punxsutawney man had stolen his motorcycle. The man was involved in a crash after the alleged theft, and charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about cable and telephone wires that had been pulled down on Mount Joy Road.
- Police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred at Wal-Mart. During the incident, an unknown female allegedly picked up money that was accidentally dropped by another customer.
- Police received numerous reports about phone scams. As a result, police would like to remind customers not to give out any personal information by phone.
- Police responded to an animal complaint in the area of the Snappy’s Convenience Store.
- Police responded for a reported intoxicated male at Wal-Mart.
- Police responded to a report about an alleged domestic disturbance on Turnpike Avenue Extension. Upon arrival police found it had been physical in nature, and a male was arrested and lodged in county jail for his actions.
- Police responded to a noise complaint on Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a tree blocking Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a residential fire alarm. However, police and fire personnel were cancelled prior to arrival at the scene.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred at Wal-Mart. Further, police located the individual involved, and citations are to be filed against them.
- Police received a report about a structure fire in the Hillsdale area.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance in the area of Dorey Street Extension.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person in the area of the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. Further, police located a male who was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed as a result of the incident, police said.
