GRAMPIAN – The Grampian Lions Club will host a Halloween parade, which will be followed by a “Trunk or Treat” event at the Grampian Community Park.
It will take place from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Oct. 29. Parade line-up will begin at 1 p.m. The parade is open to all ages. The “Trunk or Treat” is for children only.
New activities this year include a pumpkin decorating contest for families or individuals.
You can bring a decorated pumpkin between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to the park for judging. A first and second place winner will receive a prize.
A Halloween craft station will be available to all children to make a craft to take home.
Also new this year will be judging of the decorations of the participating Trunk or Treat Vehicles. First and second place winners will receive a prize.
The Grampian Lions Club will have Halloween Trick or Treat bags available to all attending children to be used for this event.
“Trunk or Treat” participants/vendors can be individuals or groups. The trunk or back of a vehicle is opened and Halloween treats are handed out to children from it.
Treats should be child safe and appropriate, organizers said. You can decorate the trunk/back of your vehicle and dress festively. Vehicle decorations will be judged this year.
“Nothing too scary or gruesome,” organizers please ask. Registration is required.
