CLEARFIELD – Information has been released in regards to the seasonal assistance provided by the Clearfield Salvation Army.
For “Project Bundle Up,” or winter wear assistance, the Salvation Army will take applications on the following days:
- 11, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- 12, 9 a.m. 7 p.m.
- 13, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- 22, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
“’Treasures for Children,’ or holiday toy assistance, and holiday food assistance can be done at the same time,” noted Helen Johnson of the Clearfield Salvation Army.”
Johnson noted that, “There is limited availability for ‘Project Bundle Up,’ so when it is full, registration will stop. Eligibility for ‘Project Bundle Up’ is once every three years.”
Additional applications for “Treasures for Children” (toy assistance for up to 12 year olds) and holiday food will be taken on the following days:
- 1, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- 2, 9 a.m. 7 p.m.
- 3, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- 12, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
“We are providing many days and various times to accommodate various schedules,” Johnson stated. She pointed out that they ask people to sign up in person and to bring the following:
- Photo ID with currant address or proof of address
- Social security or medical cards for everyone in the household in order to prove they are your children or in your custody and also to prove age
- Proof of any income
Johnson noted, “You should only apply for assistance at one social service agency or church for holiday assistance.
“We can only help those in Clearfield area and some surrounding towns. Call to see if we cover your area at 814-765-4981.”
Businesses may put up a display for “Treasures for Children” tags, and individuals are able to adopt a family, Johnson said.
