Evelyn V. Davis, 90, of Clearfield died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Davis was born June 22, 1926 in Clearfield, the daughter of Carl and Eloise (King) Snyder.
She had worked as a waitress at various businesses in Clearfield and also did domestic cleaning at various homes.
Mrs. Davis was affiliated with the Curwensville United Methodist Church. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Maxine Douglas of Hyde; a step-son, John A. Davis of Coalport; a step-daughter, Janie; four grandchildren, Sean Douglas, Brenda Jandjel and her husband, Goran, Leann Davis and Amy Vereshack; six great-grandchildren, James and Alyssa Peragine, River Jandjel and Garett, Laney and Lilley Vereshack; a great-great granddaughter, Ariana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; her second husband, John A. Davis; four sisters, Lillian Klusak, Madeline Rowles, Kathryn Snyder and Florence Snyder; a granddaughter, Jaime L. Douglas; a step-mother, Marion (Snyder) Wright; and a step-daughter -in-law, Mary Kay Davis.
Honoring Mrs. Davis’ wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
