CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department is investigating a theft and or access device fraud incident and seeking the public’s assistance.
According to the police report, it initially occurred at Sapp Bros. Truck Stop, Clearfield, on Sept. 4. It also occurred at the Wal-Mart and Sheetz stores in DuBois.
The incidents, which occurred around 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., involved two African-American males, police said. They allegedly stole the victim’s bank (debit) card along with $18 in cash and attempted four transactions at Wal-Mart and one or two transactions at Sheetz.
When the victim discovered her card was missing and or stolen, she contacted her bank, which placed a freeze on her account.
Police described one male as having white LG Tone Bluetooth headphones on and wearing jeans, a gray shirt and black shoes.
Police described the other male as having black LG Tone Bluetooth headphones and wearing jeans, a white shirt and white shoes.
Police have released surveillance images from Wal-Mart and are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the male suspects.
