Bertha L. Yontosh, 80, of Hawk Run, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born May 11, 1936 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Tondra Lesko.
On Oct. 9, 1954 at Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hawk Run, she married Albert T. Yontosh Sr. He preceded her in death in January of 1974.
Surviving are a son, A. Thomas Yontosh Jr. and his wife, Sharlene (Sherry) of Morrisdale; two grandchildren, Kevin T. Yontosh and his wife, Kimberly of Nottingham, Pa., and Krista M. Yontosh-Cimino and her husband, John of State College; and three great-grandchildren, London, Cali and Kolby.
Also surviving are a brother, Joseph Lesko of Hawk Run; a sister-in-law, Frances Cantolina of Morrisdale; and a close friend, Ron Shaw of West Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sisters, Mary Lesko Scott, Ann Lesko Sefcik and Margaret Lesko Fetcenko; and brothers, Michael Lesko and John Lesko.
Mrs. Yontosh was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hawk Run.
She had worked for the former McCrory’s Five and Dime and the former General Cigar, Philipsburg, and the former Piper Aircraft from which she retired.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Father Joseph P. Staszewski as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.  The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
