CLEARFIELD – Trever Fleck attended the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) during the 2015-16 school year.
He was enrolled in the Information Technology program. While enrolled at CCCTC, he earned both his CompTIA A+ certification and his CompTIA Strata IT Fundamentals certification. Not only did he earn these certifications, but he also scored very well on them.
He earned his OSHA certification and scored Advanced on his National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (OSHA) test, which is a battery of assessments for students studying in career and technical programs in the United States.
During his time at CCCTC, Fleck said one of the things he learned at CCCTC that prepared him for his future with attending a school for his Associate or Bachelor degree is learning how to troubleshoot PCs.
He also got to experience real life troubleshooting while working with the CCCTC’s Computer Technology Coordinator, Frank Walk. When asked about Fleck, Walk said that he really grasped the whole concept of IT and was an asset to have helping him with any problem that arose at the school.
Fleck is currently looking into schools to further his IT education.
