DUBOIS – The 11th annual Nini Manfredo Memorial Girls’ Soccer Tourney will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17, at DuBois Central Catholic’s Soccer Fields, starting at 9 a.m.
Teams in the 2016 tourney include Clarion, Redbank Valley, Smethport, Curwensville, Punxsutawney and the host Lady Cardinals of DuBois Central Catholic.
Pool play will be the format, with three teams in each pool and a placement round to follow. Both soccer fields behind Central will be used.
In addition, there will be a concession stand at the day-long tourney and tee shirts will be available. One ticket price of $5 for adults and $2 for students includes entry to all games for the entire day.
Proceeds benefit the Nini Manfredo Memorial Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Manfredo, a DCC alum, was a long-time officer of the Cardinal Athletic Association. Manfredo also was active in the DuBois Soccer Association and was an avid sports fan.
