William James Krompacky, 83, of Fernwood died Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at his home.
Born Aug. 3, 1933, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Fudrow) Krompacky.
He was a 1952 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 6321, Smithmill, and the Croatian Club.
He worked in heavy construction for more than 30 years, retiring from HRI. He was an avid hunter and the Pennsylvania Lottery’s biggest customer.
He will be sadly missed by six nieces and three nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Susan Skeria, Stephanie Oxendine, Julie Krompacky and Rose Krompacky and six brothers, George, Fred, Charles “Ed,” Joseph, Frank and infant John Krompacky.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Fr. Zab Amar officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ramey.
