State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Monday on Church Hill Road in Morrisdale. During the incident, someone allegedly dug the victim’s Dish Network cable from out of the ground. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police at Clearfield have initiated an investigation into an incident where a 31-year-old male was found lying along the berm of the Troy-Hawk Run Highway at approximately 1:30 a.m. Aug. 13. He had severe head injuries and had been at Sutton’s Bar, Hawk Run, prior to that, state police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Monday on Birch Street in Rush Township. Upon arrival to the scene, a 75-year-old Philipsburg man was having a sex act performed on him in his vehicle, state police said. He was subsequently cited for the incident through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Aug. 23 on East Plank Road in Port Matilda Borough. Upon arrival to the scene, the victim alleged to state police that a 62-year-old Port Matilda man was yelling obscenities at him. He was subsequently cited for the incident through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime between Aug. 25 and Monday on Route 948 in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a Smokey the Bear sign that was valued at approximately $100. State police are continuing their investigation at this time, and anyone with information is asked to call the Ridgway barracks at 814-776-6136.
- State police received a report about an incident of endangering the welfare of children that occurred Sunday at a known residence on Burning Well Road in Wilcox. During the incident, a Wilcox man allegedly left two toddlers unattended for an unknown period of time. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to East End for a suspicious male in the area. Upon arrival police made contact with the male who was determined to be on probation and who allegedly admitted to using marijuana. He was transported to meet with his probation officer and then to county jail.
- Police responded to an activated alarm along Chester Street. Upon arrival police found delivery people who had set off the alarm.
- Police responded to West Sixth Avenue for an attempted vehicle break-in. Upon arrival police found that someone had allegedly attempted to enter a vehicle, which caused minor damage.
- Police responded to Cemetery Road for an animal complaint.
- Police responded to an alarm at a business along Bigler Avenue. Upon arrival police found the business to be secure.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Mapes Avenue.
- Police received a report about bad checks passed at a local business on River Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
- Police received a report about a psychological emergency in the Leonard Street area.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on River Road.
- Police received a report about alleged elder abuse in the area of Leonard Street.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on River Road.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communications. Further, police made contact with the actor and asked him to cease his actions.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment.
- Police received a report about a verbal domestic dispute in Hyde.
- Police received a report about a minor accident during which a motorist swerved to miss a deer and traveled into a yard.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment, which involved roommates, in Hyde.
- Police assisted a male on U.S. Route 322.
DuBois City
- On Monday police received a report about an incident of harassment by communications. Officers were able to make contact with the actor, and he agreed to have no further contact with the complainant.
- On Monday police were dispatched to the Pershing lot, where a dog was locked inside of a vehicle. Officers located the dog and determined that it wasn’t in any danger.
- Police were dispatched to the intersection of South Main Street and Rumbarger Avenue for a three-vehicle crash Monday. Further, the driver of a Dodge Ram was unable to stop for traffic and struck a Mazda; it then struck a Chevrolet S-10. All three vehicles sustained minor damage, and there weren’t any injuries reported at the scene, police said.
- Police were dispatched to Robinson Street for a report about an incident of trespassing Monday. Officers spoke to two juveniles who had allegedly been previously advised to stay off the property. Their parents were advised of the incident, and police cleared without further action.
- On Monday police were dispatched to North Jared Street for an attempted break-in. After further investigation, police determined that the caller and his friend were intoxicated and the incident was a misunderstanding. Both were advised to remain indoors for the rest of the night, police said.
- On Monday police were dispatched to the 300 block of South Church Street for a domestic disturbance. The caller collected some belongings and left the residence for the night, police said. Officers cleared without further incident.
