State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred sometime between Aug. 15 and Aug. 17 on Lamb Drive in Morris Township. During the incident, a known suspect in Columbia, Md., was sent $980 for a dog, which was allegedly never sent to the victim. It was noted by state police that the victim hasn’t been reimbursed at this time, and the investigation is continuing.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Aug. 11 on the Port Matilda Highway in Rush Township. During the incident, state police stopped a Philipsburg man and determined that he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for a legal blood draw. Upon receipt of the blood draw results, state police charged the man with DUI and several traffic citations through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call.
- Police received a report about a child who was locked inside of a vehicle at Tractor Supply.
Sandy Township
- Police reported a false alarm Friday at a residence on Route 219
- On Friday a Forest Glenn Lane resident reported to police that a neighbor’s dog had been barking for an extended period of time. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Friday a tractor-trailer driver reported to police that his truck was hit while another was being parked next to his in the Pilot Parking lot. Minor damage and no injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- Police were dispatched to Triangle Springs for an open door. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Saturday police received a report from employees of Dutch Pantry that someone had allegedly removed a mounted bear head from the wall in the restaurant.
- Police investigated a 911 hang-up call Saturday at a Treasure Lake residence. It was found to be accidental, police said.
- On Saturday police reported a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Brockway woman was stopped at the Treasure Lake exit when a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Brockway woman rear-ended hers. Minor to moderate damage to the vehicles and minor injuries were reported, police said.
- A 41-year-old Brady Street woman reported to police that her basement door was open, and that it had been closed when she left the house Saturday. Officers checked the house and did not find evidence of forced entry or theft.
- On Sunday a Circle Road resident reported two tool boxes had been removed from his vehicle parked in his driveway. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police reported a false alarm at ABCS on Sunday.
