Ann Marie Taylor Hess, 88, a resident of Ridgeview Healthcare in Curwensville and formerly of Hyde, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016 at Ridgeview.
Born Aug. 12, 1928 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Wayne and Frances (Good) Lanich.
Mrs. Hess was a homemaker. She was also retired as a cafeteria worker for the Clearfield Area School District, and she was a member of the Hyde Wesleyan Church.
She was first wed to Ray Taylor, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a step-grandson, John Hess.
She then wed John R. Hess on Dec. 8, 1973 in Hyde. He survives along with three children, Raymond Taylor and his wife, Arlene of Treasure Lake and Wayne Taylor and Sherry Rickard and her husband, Jim of Hyde.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Stephanie Judy and her husband, Rev. Justin Judy of Trafford, Pa., and Scott Taylor and his wife, Penny of Punxsutawney and eight great-grandchildren, Elijah and Jonathon Judy, Zack, Ethan, Abbey and Lilly Mae, and Emmaline and Sophia Taylor.
She is also survived by five step-children, Sharon Weisgarber and her husband, John of Curwensville, Randy Hess of Grampian, Craig Hess and his wife, Connie of Kerr Addition, Edmund Hess and partner Royce Miller of Maine and Rhoda Anderson and her husband, Jack of Grampian as well as six step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hess will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. Robert Croft officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
