Martha J. Jordan, 88, of Ramey died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Mrs. Jordan was born March 6, 1928, in Windber, Pa., the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Walker) Hagan.
She was a homemaker and earlier in life, she had worked for Sylvania in Houtzdale.
Mrs. Jordan was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church of Houtzdale, where she served with the Altar Guild and sang in the church choir.
She loved her family and enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, traveling, ceramics, shopping, gardening and canning and routing for Penn State football.
She is survived by her husband, Edward M. “Ted” Jordan, to whom she was married Dec. 6, 1947 at the Windber Presbyterian Church, and three children, Beverly Marley of Tampa, Fla., Rebecca Dinant of Ramey and Marc Jordan and his wife, Becky of Clearfield.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jerry A. Greenawalt and his wife, Helena, Christina Belinda and her husband, Justin, Jordan Turner and his wife, Zoila, Bradley Turner and his wife, Tabitha and Collette Jordan, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jordan was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia Penland; four brothers, Alvin, Roy Jr., James and Eugene Hagan; and a son-in-law, Larry Marley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. of Houtzdale with the Rev. John F. White officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
