We’re kind of buzzed, and it’s all because Montell Jordan popped up on “The Late Late Show.”
James Corden was blown away when the singer surprised him Monday with a performance of “This Is How We Do It” in honor of the talk show host’s birthday.
It began with a video of well wishes for Corden, which included family members and his favorite soccer player, Mark Noble.
But the late-night host got the most excited when Jordan appeared in the video, saying he knew that his 1995 hit was Corden’s favorite song.
“I wanted to make sure for your birthday I got you a little gift. … Actually, I’ve got a better idea,” Jordan said in the video before coming out and launching into a performance.
Corden sang along and danced before enthusiastically thanking the singer and wiping away what appeared to be tears.
Jordan praised Corden for his love of music and gave him a gadget he could push to play the song’s chorus whenever he has a bad day.
“It’s the greatest present I could ever have,” Corden said.
