RIDGWAY – The Ridgway Heritage Council is pleased to announce the biggest historic house tour in its 20-year history.
Seventeen of Ridgway’s finest homes will be open to the public (first floors only) on Saturday, Sept. 24 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This will be the council’s first “open house” style of tour. Ticket purchasers may choose to visit any or all the homes listed on the tour map and brochure.
Most of the homes on tour are located within the official “Lily of the Valley” National Register Historic District focused on Hyde, South and Center streets, with three additional homes in the “West End” of town across the Clarion River.
Each home will have an identifying yard sign, keyed by number to the map and brochure.
Tickets are now available at the Ridgway-Elk County Welcome Center, Cliffes Pharmacy in Ridgway and the Village Peddler in St. Marys.
Tickets can also be purchased online at www.ridgwayheritagecouncil.com, on the House Tours page. The brochure and map can be downloaded at any time, but a ticket is required to enter any of the tour locations.
The Ridgway Heritage Council is an award-winning non-profit organization established in 1997 for the purpose of promoting economic development in Ridgway based upon the community’s outstanding heritage and natural resources.
