Donald Edward “Sam” Matthews Jr., 55, of Osceola Mills died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born Jan. 25, 1961 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Donald E. Matthews Sr. and Shirley A. (Sipe) Matthews.
He married Sally (Kephart) Matthews on Sept. 20, 2010 in Osceola Mills. She survives at home.
Mr. Matthews was of the Christian faith. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve, was a truck driver and received his GED.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Valerie Corrigan and her husband, Richard of Osceola Mills.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills. There is no visitation.
