CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST) is dusting off the mounted deer, searching for the log to prop up the couch and sporting the best long johns in preparation for their next production.
Escanaba in da Moonlight is Jeff Daniel’s hilariously twisted comedy about five Yoopers—residents of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula—and their escapades at a ramshackle deer camp on the eve of the Opening Day of the 1989 hunting season.
Reuben Soady brings with him the infamous reputation of being the oldest Soady in the history of the Soady’s never to bag a buck.
In a hunting story to beat all hunting stories, Escanaba in da Moonlight spins a hilarious tale of humor, horror and heart as Reuben goes to any and all lengths to remove himself from the wrong end of the family record book.
Bob’s Army & Navy and Grice Gun Shop have each sponsored this production by donating $100 gift certificates. Chances for these certificates will be sold during each performance, and at the CAST office.
The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST) will have performances of its production Escanaba in da Moonlight on Aug. 20 and Aug. 24-27 at 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 21 at 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at www.ClearfieldArts.org, at the CAST office on Aug. 22-23 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., and at the box office prior to each show.
