It’s not “The Bourne Identity,” it’s a case of mistaken identity.
After two decades in Hollywood, one might assume Mark Wahlberg is easily recognizable, but he says he’s not.
The actor claims that fans constantly confuse him for another big star, Matt Damon.
“People always say they love me in ‘The Bourne Identity’… And I just say say, ‘Thank you,'” he told Extra.
But believe it or not, Wahlberg said the same thing happens to Damon. “Matt always gets it all the time too. “I love you in ‘Ted,’ or one of the movies I’ve done. We just laugh it off. I never correct anybody. I just say, ‘Thank you very much. Watch me in ‘The Bourne Identity 4.'”
Both stars have been busy with their respective projects. Wahlberg returns to the big screen in the thriller “Deep Water Horizon,” alongside Kate Hudson, in September.
Damon reprised his role in “Jason Bourne” this summer. The film has grossed more than $246 million worldwide.
Either way, it’s good to be Damon and Wahlberg.
