- Police received a report about an IRS phone scam that occurred in the area of Lawrence Avenue. As a result, police would like to remind residents not to provide personal or financial information by phone.
- Police responded to an alarm at the Clearfield Mall.
- Police received a report about a stolen bike. It has since been recovered and returned to its owner.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival to the scene, police found there wasn’t any emergency.
- Police responded to a fire alarm on River Road.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment. It was listed as unfounded, police said.
- Police received a report about a lost wallet.
- Police received a burning complaint that occurred in the area of West Front Street.
- Police responded to an electrical fire on Race Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred in the area of the Economy Inn.
- Police received a report about a dog that was inside of a vehicle at Wal-Mart. Upon arrival police found that the dog was not in any distress.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident Thursday at the intersection of Main Street and West Long Avenue. Further, police reported that a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 59-year-old DuBois man turned in front of a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu operated by a 64-year-old Sykesville man. No injuries occurred in the accident, and one vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- On Thursday police arrested a 54-year-old DuBois man for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He was allegedly caught trying to steal a person’s bicycle.
