State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Aug. 5 on North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly scratched the victim’s vehicle in various places. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime between Aug. 5 and Tuesday at a Scotland Avenue Extension residence in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s CRKT knife with green paracord wrapping and a plastic case and a black electronic incapacitation device with a black leather case. - State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred July 28 at a Rocky Lane residence in Young Township. Further, the victim told state police that a known male used excessive force when he disciplined her.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between Aug. 7 and Wednesday on the Mahaffey-Grampian Highway in Bell Township. - State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred July 31 on East Main Street in Big Run Borough. During the incident, a known male and a teen allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Wednesday outside of a Hollow Road residence in Fox Township. During the incident, a Kersey woman allegedly struck the victim in the face with her hand. She was cited for the incident through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a minor traffic accident on South Fourth Street. Further, police reported that a vehicle was attempting to pull into a parking spot when it struck another vehicle. As a result, both vehicles sustained damage, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of fraud from a resident on Leavy Avenue. It remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police responded to West Front Street for a report about persons who were allegedly trespassing.
- Police received a report about an alleged assault that occurred at the Clearfield Driving Park.
- Police responded to East 11th Street for a report about a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival police made contact with persons and found they were returning home.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft of money from a residence.
- Police responded to a Leavy Avenue residence to check a person’s welfare. Upon arrival police found that everything was OK.
- Police responded to Fulton Street for a report about an alleged incident of trespassing after a male entered a residence.
- Police received a report about a cat attacking a dog on Williams Street.
- Police responded to South Second Street for a report about four males who were yelling at each other. Further, police located the males and advised them about their actions.
- Police located a male on Turnpike Avenue who was allegedly under the influence. He was arrested for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
- Police responded to Dorey Street for a report about a loud noise.
- Police responded to a business for an alarm. It was found to be accidental, police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on Industrial Park Road.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway.
- Police received a report about a theft that was determined to be a civil issue.
- Police received a report about a scam from a township resident.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person on Daisy Street. Further, police determined it was a resident who was cleaning his car.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business at the Clearfield Mall. It was listed as unfounded by police.
- Police received a report about an alleged scam from a resident. According to police, the victim received a telephone call from a person who claimed to be seeking donations for the local police department and who then requested credit card information. Police would like to remind residents that police do not solicit donations through telephone calls and not to provide personal or financial information to anyone.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Coal Hill Road. Further, police reported that a male driver lost control of his truck, which overturned before coming to a rest on its wheels. The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment by private vehicle, police said in the report.
