CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners have received several letters of interest from those who would like to voluntarily serve on the county’s recreation and tourism authority (CCRTA), reported Commissioner John A. Sobel at Tuesday’s meeting.
Sobel and Commissioner Mark B. McCracken noted that all of the applicants were very qualified. In order to make a decision as to who will fill the two CCRTA board vacancies, Sobel said the commissioners plan to conduct interviews with the applicants.
The commissioners will conduct the interviews in the coming weeks and would like to fill the two vacancies at their Aug. 23 board meeting, according to Sobel.
Holly Komonczi, CCRTA executive director, was present at the commissioners’ meeting. She asked if they could be involved with the commissioners’ interview process since CCRTA board and staff members must work together. Sobel said her request would receive consideration.
The commissioners also announced vacancies on the Clearfield County Planning Commission, Clearfield County Solid Waste Authority, Area Transportation Authority and Curwensville Lake Authority.
Anyone interested in serving on any of the authorities is asked to submit a letter of interest to the commissioners at the Clearfield County Administrative Offices, located at 212 E. Locust St., Clearfield PA 16830.
