State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Tuesday along Warwick Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a Philipsburg woman and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical when she allegedly slapped him in the face. Charges are currently pending through the district court in Kylertown.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about deceptive business practices that occurred Sept. 22, 2010 at the Lakelawn Memorial Park in Winslow Township. The victim told police they signed a contract for the purchase of a bronze marker and granite base and paid in total $2,545. As of this date, they have not been ordered or placed on the grave site, state police said. In this case, state police noted that prosecution is declined against Edmund Grenier Jr., 64, due to it being beyond the 5-year statute of limitations.
- On Wednesday Dylan J. Notto, 19, of Reynoldsville was driving south on Route 255 and committed multiple traffic violations. While attempting to conduct a traffic stop on Notto, he allegedly jumped out of the vehicle on Narrow Creek Park Road and fled through the woods. Upon investigation Notto was found at his Reynoldsville residence, taken into custody and put in the county jail.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received reports about thefts from motor vehicles that occurred Aug. 5-6 on North Ninth Street in Philipsburg Borough. State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary/motor vehicle theft that occurred sometime between June 1 and Saturday on Poerio Road in Young Township. During the incident, someone arrived at an unlocked barn and allegedly proceeded to steal a UTV valued at $4,000. - State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime between Aug. 5 and Tuesday at a Scotland Avenue Extension residence in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a CRKT knife with green paracord wrapping and a plastic case from the victim’s vehicle. - State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred Sunday on Pike Road in Henderson Township. State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime Monday or Tuesday at the Wilcox Fire Department in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly smashed the victim’s excavator’s front windshield; damage is estimated at $200. Lawrence Township
- Police responded to the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop to check on a person’s welfare.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police received a report about a phone scam.
- Police responded to the Hampton Inn to check on a person’s welfare.
- Police responded to a minor, two-vehicle accident on Graham Street.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication.
- Police located a stray dog in the Hyde area. The owner can claim it by contacting the SPCA, police said.
DuBois City
- On Monday police were dispatched to the East DuBois Avenue area for a report about a woman who was trying to push her vehicle. Â Officers arrived at the scene and after conducting a field interview, they arrested the woman on suspicion of DUI. Â A drug recognition expert from the Pennsylvania State Police was contacted for assistance. Charges are currently pending lab test results, police said.
- On Monday a railroad worker reported to police that a male juvenile had fired a BB gun at him while he was inspecting the tracks. Â Neither he nor his vehicle was struck, police said in an online report. Officers then located a group of juveniles. Police found a juvenile to be in possession of a CO2 BB gun; he was taken home to a parent; and he was cited for use of a pellet gun.
- Police were dispatched to the West Weber Avenue area for a burglar alarm at a business Monday. Â Officers arrived to the scene and determined everything was OK.
- On Monday the fire department requested assistance from police with a burning complaint. Â A DuBois woman had a fire, which was in violation of a burn ban, police said. Â Officers made contact with the woman and the flame was extinguished.
Decatur Township
- Police responded to a Decatur Township business to check the welfare of the owner who hadn’t returned a customer’s phone calls. Police made contact with the owner and found that they were OK.
- Police are investigating an incident of scattering rubbish that occurred in Decatur Township.
- Police located a suspicious vehicle behind County Market. Further, police found two juveniles inside of the vehicle and asked them to leave the premises.
- Decatur Township police would like to inform the public that the department has a drug take back box. Police are accepting expired and unwanted prescriptions, patches, medications and ointments, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins and medications for pets.
