CLEARFIELD – The 75th class of the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center’s (CCCTC) Practical Nursing Program graduated 28 students on July 22.
Elizabeth Frankhouser, CCCTC executive director, welcomed the audience to the event. Nadia Lopez De Sudik, nursing student, introduced the commencement speaker, Ruby Maines, RN, certified hospice palliative care nurse.
Academic awards were presented by Cheryl Krieg, nursing program director, to the three students with the highest grade point averages in the class: Nadia Lopez De Sudik, Tasha Douty and Lacy Pollick.
Certificates of perfect attendance were awarded to Kristi Fox, Taylor Martini and Kayla Nussbaum. Seven graduates were recognized as members of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS): Taylor Cutler, Kristi Fox, Caitlin Granville, Nadia Lopez De Sudik, Taylor Martini, Lacy Pollick and Jessica Smith.
Diplomas were awarded by Ronald Matchok, superintendent of record. Graduates were presented for graduation by Tonya Saggese, nursing instructor and nursing pins were awarded by Patricia McKnight and Alene Homan, nursing instructors.
Barbara Smith, nursing instructor, led the graduates in reciting the Practical Nursing Pledge.  Lacy Pollick, nursing student, provided the farewell address.

The nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. and Pennsylvania Department of Education and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
