Verna Kephart of Houtzdale died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at TLC Manor, Brisbin.
Born July 26, 1926 in Sanborn, rural Houtzdale, she was the daughter of Jerry and Leafy (Richey) Yeager.
On Dec. 24, 1947 in West Decatur, she married the Rev. Merrell H Kephart, who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2011.
She was a member of First Church of God, Brisbin. Her greatest enjoyment was taking care of her family.
She is survived by a son, Eugene (Gene) Kephart and his wife, Joan of Sanborn.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jack Kephart, Kraig Kephart and his wife, Vanessa and Kristi Kephart, all of Sanborn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Allen and seven brothers and two sisters.
Family and friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with the Rev Robert Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
