BRADFORD TOWNSHIP – State police at Clearfield have released additional details in relation to their investigation into an apparent murder-suicide that occurred at 6:47 p.m. last night at a Hillbilly Lane residence in Bradford Township.
According to an updated report issued this afternoon, state police were dispatched to a domestic assault. It involved a knife and the couple was observed by a witness in the front yard.
State police said Donald E. Peters, 46, of Mineral Springs had a large knife and allegedly stabbed Tammy L. Sipe, 43, of Hyde. The physical altercation had moved inside the residence prior to arrival of state police.
Upon arrival to the scene, troopers forced entry into the residence. Upon entry, Sipe was located inside of the front door with multiple stab wounds, and Peters was located in another room with one self-inflicted stab wound and the knife, according to the report.
Troopers requested ambulances and provided medical aid. “Both persons succumbed to their injuries on scene,” state police said.
