Kathryn S. (Tozer) White, 98, of O’Shanter died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. White was born July 6, 1918 in Bloomington, the daughter of Irvin A. and Sarah H. (Proud) Tozer.
She attended school at Curwensville. Mrs. White was a homemaker.
She was a member of the O’Shanter United Methodist Church and formerly of the Capsule Sisters of the church.
Mrs. White was also a member of the Glen Richey Fire Company Auxiliary and the Curwensville Moose Auxiliary.
She is survived by five children, Marlene Kay Heverley of Brockway, John F. White Jr., and his wife, Peggy of Curwensville, Karen Hepfer of Woodland, Rick White and his wife, Jessica of Statesville, NC and Larry T. White and his wife, Darlene of Kings Mountain, NC.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. White was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John White, to whom she was married July 16, 1938 and whom died Jan. 25, 2004; five brothers, Glenn, Cooper, Richard, Francis and Irvin Tozer and two sons-in-law, Orlin Heverley and David Hepfer.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. Carol Gathagan officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. Sunday until the hour of services at the funeral home.
