State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Friday on Valley Road in Cooper Township. During the incident, a Winburne man engaged in a verbal altercation with a juvenile, which escalated to physical contact. He allegedly grabbed a hold of the juvenile, placed him in a headlock and then stepped on his big toe. Charges are currently pending through the district court, state police said.
- State police will conduct impaired driving enforcement on roadways with high incidences of alcohol-related crashes in August within Clearfield County.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a complaint from a local business about vehicles parked in its lot that were not permitted to do so.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of a 50-inch television from a fair booth sometime overnight Wednesday.
- Police received a report about a stolen cell phone that occurred at the fair.
- Police received multiple bad check complaints from a local business that involved multiple individuals.
- Police responded to a fair booth for a report about a juvenile who was allegedly attempting to steal items.
- Police performed a traffic stop for a minor violation and determined that the driver was allegedly intoxicated. Police subsequently arrested the driver for DUI.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about repossession.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred on Williams Street.
- Police conducted a warrant service on a person at the fair.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred in the area of Palmer Street.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident Wednesday at the intersection of Main Street and West Long Avenue. Further, police reported that a maroon Chrysler traveling on West Long Avenue had gone through a red light and was struck by a Pontiac traveling on Main Street. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
- Police were dispatched to a West Long Avenue apartment complex for a report about a landlord/tenant dispute Wednesday. Upon investigation police learned the landlord was upset over the tenant bringing a dog into the apartments. During the altercation, both allegedly assaulted each other. Â Police will cite both landlord and tenant for harassment as a result of the incident.
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident Wednesday at the intersection of Maple Avenue and South Seventh Street. Â Further, police reported that one vehicle had traveled into the opposite lane and struck a motorcycle on Maple Avenue. Â The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital for his injuries, police said.
- Police were dispatched to a residence on the 700 block of West Long Avenue for a report about an alleged burglary Thursday. Â When they arrived on scene, the victim told police that someone entered her apartment while she was gone and had stolen her television. Â Police have suspects in the incident, which remains under investigation.
- Police were dispatched to a business located on Liberty Boulevard for the report about an alarm Thursday. Upon arrival and a search, police found everything to be OK and cleared the scene.
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident Thursday that occurred at the intersection of East DuBois Avenue and Division Street. Further, police reported that the driver of a Dodge Durango was stopped for a red light on East DuBois Avenue when her vehicle was rear-ended by a Ford F-150. Two people were transported to the hospital for minor injuries sustained in the accident, police said.
