State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Monday on Main Street in Ramey Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly kicked the victim’s 2004 Ford Taurus several times, which caused an estimated $500 worth of damage to it. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about the theft of an all-terrain vehicle that occurred on Mink Road sometime between July 29 and Tuesday in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly arrived at the victim’s residence, located the victim’s 1999, 250 Suzuki and removed it. The ATV was valued at $1,000, and the incident remains under investigation, state police said.
- State police reported a dog law violation that occurred Wednesday in Woodland. During the incident, a woman’s dog bit the victim in the arm. She was cited for the incident through the district court, and the case remains open pending disposition.
State police at DuBois
- State police responded to a crash Wednesday on Washington Avenue in Falls Creek Borough. Further, a vehicle driven by a Brockway man was traveling eastbound when it crossed the centerline and impacted a vehicle driven by a DuBois man in the 10 o’clock position. The Brockway man’s vehicle began to slide in a counterclockwise rotation and came to a final rest in the westbound lane. Upon being impacted, the DuBois man’s vehicle slid across the eastbound lane, off the roadway and impacted a utility pole. No injuries were reported in the crash, and both vehicles were towed from the scene, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred Wednesday in the 200 block of Spike Island Road in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed her purse, taking money and a cell phone from it. Afterward they threw the purse onto an embankment and fled the area, state police said. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Monday or Tuesday on Johnson Road in Bell Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a solar panel from a gas well site. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a burglary that occurred at a local business. During the incident, suspect(s) allegedly gained entry into a fenced in area and then into locked trailers. They took several items from the business, police said.
- Police responded to a minor vehicle accident in the area of Nichols and Williams streets.
- Police received a complaint about a dog barking on Merrill Street.
- Police responded to Turnpike Avenue for a report about an alleged assault. Upon arrival police found that it had occurred on Monday.
- Police served a female who was known to have warrants.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communications. Further, police advised those involved to stop their actions.
Decatur Township
- Police responded to a Taylor Street address for a female who was allegedly intoxicated and being disorderly toward another female and several children.
- Police responded to a Hudson Street address for a possible burglary. Upon arrival police found it was civil in nature.
- Police received a traffic complaint about a dump truck traveling on Route 53, which was losing its coal load. Upon arrival police were unable to locate the truck or any coal on the roadway.
- Police checked on two vehicles at the intersection of Coal Run Road and Route 53. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police located a suspicious vehicle parked behind County Market in Philipsburg. Further, police didn’t find anything criminal in nature.
- Police responded to a Horton Street residence in reference to an incident of harassment. During the incident, two males engaged in an argument over property, police said. Police advised them not to enter each other’s property.
- Police responded to the area of Front Street and the Troy–Hawk Run Highway after a report from On-Star. Everything was found to be OK, police said.
- Police responded to Fuel-On in Houtzdale for a report about a reckless driver. Further, a known male spun out gravel, which chipped the windshield of another vehicle.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a white pitbull attacking a brown lab in the area of Bimini Beach in Treasure Lake on Monday. Officers made contact with the people involved and forwarded the information to the dog warden.
- Police reported that on Monday a vehicle driven by an 86-year-old DuBois woman hit another vehicle in the Aldi’s parking lot, causing minor damage and then leaving the scene. Officers located the woman and she explained that she did not think there was any damage so she left. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Monday police received a report from a Home Camp Road resident who stated that a known person was riding ATVs on his property. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about an ATV being taken from a Hungry Hollow Road residence on Monday.
- On Monday police received a report from an Isabella’s employee who stated that an unknown female came into the bar and started yelling at a patron. She was asked to leave and when she did, she threw a half empty Pepsi bottle at the door.
- On Tuesday police reported that a vehicle driven by a Brookville woman hit another, which was owned by a Rockton woman, in the parking lot of the Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Store and then left the scene. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Tuesday police reported a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence.
- On Tuesday police received a report from a 27-year-old Treasure Lake woman who stated she was attempting to purchase a dog from a Web site. After she wired the money to the contact person, she allegedly did not receive the dog.
- While its driver was waiting to turn from Shaffer Road to the DuBois Mall at the Beaver Drive intersection on Tuesday, police reported that a 41-year-old DuBois woman’s vehicle was hit and damaged by another driven by a 74-year-old Penfield man. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
