PUNXSUTAWNEY – Fugitive Elijah Jacob Conser was taken into custody after being located in the Emporium area, reported state police at Punxsutawney.
State police and the Board of Probation and Parole had been searching for Conser. He had escaped from a halfway house in Erie, Pa., and a warrant had been issued for his arrest, according to previously published reports.
Conser is also a suspect in the alleged thefts of several motorcycles and an all-terrain vehicle in the Punxsutawney and Reynoldsville areas of Jefferson County on July 25-26.
