State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred July 18 at the Light House Evangelical Church in West Decatur. During the incident, someone allegedly forced entry into a shed, damaging the door, and then removed a five-gallon gas can full of gasoline. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of DUI that occurred July 1 on Route 36 at Harriger’s Garage in Eldred Township. During the incident, a Cleveland, Ohio man was stopped for traffic violations and allegedly determined to be under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Monday on Shawmut Road in Horton Township. During the incident, two Brockport residents allegedly pushed each other. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a mail scam in the area of the Krebs Highway.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred in the area of Martin Street Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft in the area of Mill Road.
- Police responded to Maple Avenue in reference to a large tree branch on the roadway. It was removed from the roadway.
- Police responded to an alleged incident of trespassing on Vaughn Lane.
- Police received numerous complaints due to congested traffic on the Rockton Mountain Highway.
- Police received a report about a dog left in a vehicle at the River Road Plaza.
- Police received a report about a runaway juvenile in the area of Clarendon Avenue. Further, the juvenile returned home shortly after the report was made to police.
- Police responded to a business alarm along the Old Penfield Road. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police responded to a business alarm along Route 879 and Interstate 80. However, police were cancelled by the alarm company.
DuBois City
- Police were called to a residence on South State Street for a possible attempted burglary on Friday. Â The caller told police they had a screen cut and a window broken out. Â No entry was made to the residence, and nothing was reported stolen, police said.
- On Friday police reported that a resident in the 300 block of East Scribner Avenue stated that someone had rummaged through his fiancée’s vehicle.  Nothing was reported as stolen and there was no damage to the vehicle, police said.
- Police were called to an East DuBois Avenue business for an alleged employee theft. Â Upon arrival police were advised by management and security of an employee who had stolen nearly $1,000 since late June. Â The employee was interviewed by security and confessed to the theft; criminal charges will be filed, police said.
- On Friday a resident from the 400 block of Spruce Alley reported to police an alleged theft from his vehicle.  He’d parked his car on the street around 9:30 p.m. the night before and left the window down enough that someone was able to open the locked doors.  A Samsung Galaxy smartphone, valued at $130, was stolen, police said, and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- On Friday a resident on South State Street reported to police a burglary that had occurred sometime overnight. Â During the incident, someone allegedly gained entrance through an unlocked door, rummaged through items and removed a Verizon Ellipsis 8 tablet. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police were called to the 500 block of West Washington Avenue for a report about a domestic disturbance Friday. After an investigation, police learned no physical assault had occurred and that the male involved did not reside there. Â He agreed to leave as a result. Â Police advised the female on how to apply for a Protection from Abuse order.
- Police were called to the 200 block of South Brady Street Friday to assist with a medical emergency. The woman caller was uncooperative with dispatchers and little information was available.  Officers arrived on scene and located the woman with a deep laceration to her hand.  She reported that she had fallen and cut her hand in the bathroom. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and transported her to Penn Highlands for treatment.
- Police investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 200 block of West Long Avenue on Friday. Â Further, police determined a Lincoln was traveling east when a Pontiac pulled from a parking spot and struck it. Â No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance Friday on the 800 block of West Weber Avenue. Â Further, a woman told police that her ex-boyfriend was at the house knocking on the door. Â While en route to the call, he was located in his vehicle one block away from the house. He was stopped, interviewed and released to a family member. Police interviewed the female who alleged having 109 missed calls and 100 text messages since July 13. Â She had contacted police July 13, at which time the male was advised to cease contact with her. Â Criminal charges will be filed on the male, police said.
- Police were called to the 100 block of East Washington Avenue for a domestic disturbance Friday. Â Upon arrival police learned that the dispute was verbal only and the male who was involved planned to leave the residence for the night.
- On Friday police received a report about a burglary in the 400 block of West Spruce Alley. The victim told police that unknown actor(s) entered the residence sometime the previous night through an unlocked door, and a prescription was stolen.  Also, the victim reported the theft of $50 from their unlocked vehicle. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Sunflower Drive on Saturday for an activated burglar alarm. Further, police determined that everything was OK, and there wasn’t any evidence of a burglary.
- Police were dispatched to a business on Parkway Drive Saturday for an activated burglar alarm. Â Upon arrival police found an employee had accidentally set off the alarm.
- On Saturday police were called to East Weber Avenue for a report about a male who was allegedly refusing to leave the property. Â Upon arrival police located the suspect, and the callers reported he had refused to leave their porch after being told numerous times. Officers arrested the male for public drunkenness and trespassing. Â Also, a search yielded a small amount of marijuana, police said. Â Criminal charges will be filed in the incident.
- Police were called to the Pershing Parking lot on East Long Avenue for a report about alleged criminal mischief to a vehicle on Saturday.  Upon their arrival, the victim reported to police that she’d parked her car there while she was at work.  When she returned to her vehicle she learned the rear passenger window was smashed.  It appeared as if the window was shot by a BB or pellet, police said.
- Police were called to the 300 block of West Long Avenue for an alleged incident of harassment on Sunday. Â Upon their arrival, the caller reported to police that she and her friend were being harassed by a male. Police learned the women were asked to leave private property by the male and he made unwanted comments. Â No arrests were made as a result of the incident, police said.
- A DuBois City police officer was following a vehicle Sunday on Quarry Avenue when he witnessed several traffic violations and actions indicative of drunk driving. Â The officer stopped the vehicle and later arrested the male driver on suspicion of DUI. Â Charges are pending lab results, police said.
- Police were called to the City Park where two males were sleeping in a pavilion Sunday. Â Officers contacted the two males and learned they were waiting for friend to play football. Â No illegal activity was suspected or witnessed, police said.
- Police were called to McCloyd Terrace for a suspicious male who was laying in the caller’s yard Sunday.  Officers arrived and located the male riding a bike near Shaffer Avenue.  He was stopped and allegedly determined to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. He was cited for public drunkenness and released to his mother.
- On Sunday a resident of West Second Avenue reported to police that her house was egged by a group of juveniles. Â Officers arrived in the area but were unable to locate any of the suspects.
- Police were dispatched to the City Park for a report about an alleged assault Sunday.  Upon their arrival, the victim told police they had been assaulted by a known male juvenile.  After interviewing all the parties involved, no arrests were made in the incident, police said.
