Jacob Tremblay seems like a super sweet kid, but his new movie looks super scary. The 9-year-old stars in “Before I Wake,” a horror film about a little boy whose nightmares become reality.
Tremblay plays a foster child named Cody who is taken in by a couple (Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane). All seems fine until Cody goes to sleep, and the family discovers Cody’s dreams turn deadly.
This isn’t Tremblay’s first foray into the horror genre. He was in “Extraterrestrial” in 2014, and will star in the upcoming thriller, “Shut In.”
Tremblay rose to fame as Jack Newsome in the 2015 Oscar nominated film, “The Room.” Tremblay was nominated for a SAG Award for his performance, while his co-star, Brie Larson, won an Academy Award.
“Before I Wake” haunts theaters on September 9.
