Patricia R. Maurey, 86, a resident of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, died peacefully Monday at the home.
She was born in Clearfield, the daughter of the late Saul and Tillie (Patt) Robinson. She married Donald L. Maurey on March 21, 1954.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Stephen E. Maurey of Altoona; a daughter, Susan M. Katz of Altoona; three grandchildren, Courtney Piper of Harrisburg, Anna Shaw of Seattle, Wash., and David Katz of Altoona; and two sisters, Ramona Hughes of State College and Elaine Halford of Littleton, Colo.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ashley G. Maurey.
Mrs. Maurey was a graduate of Clearfield High School and received her Associate’s degree at the Fashion Institute of New York. She retired from the Young Men’s Shop and was the owner of Stride Rite.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, July 15, officiated by Rabbi Audrey Korotkin. Burial will be at Mount Sinai cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 332 Eighth Ave., Seventh Floor, New York, NY 10001.
