State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Tuesday on Edwards Street in Osceola Mills Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s door knob by unknown means. Damage is estimated at $50, state police said.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Tuesday on St. Clara Street in Woodard Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a metal safe from the victim’s Dodge van while it was parked on the street. The theft was valued at $50, state police said.
- Lynn E. McCracken, 86, of Mahaffey was taken by helicopter to UPMC Altoona after a crash Wednesday on Camp Corbly Road in Greenwood Township, reported state police. He was traveling northbound at a left-hand curve when his vehicle left its lane of travel and struck a tree.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Tuesday at a residence on Main and Pine streets in Coalport Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the driver’s side door on the victim’s vehicle. Damage was estimated at approximately $150, state police said, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- Police received a report about a vehicle theft Wednesday on Bloom Road in Brady Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took the vehicle from a residence without permission. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal trespass that occurred July 5 on Seldomseen Road in Clover Township. During the incident, a Brookville man allegedly trespassed onto posted property that belonged to the victim. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to North Fifth Street for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival police found that a female was upset and began to yell about seeing a deceased pet. Police didn’t find any other problems at the scene.
- Police assisted Lawrence Township police with a suspicious male who was reportedly carrying a rifle along U.S. Route 322. Further, police located the male and determined everything was OK.
- Police assisted a male who had locked himself out of his vehicle.

- Police received a report about a hit-and-run on Supercenter Drive.
- Police received a report about a minor, two-vehicle accident at Dunkin Donuts.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person who was walking with a rifle along the roadway in Golden Rod. However, he was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person at the intersection of Supercenter Drive. However, he was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Turnpike Avenue Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft that occurred on Leonard Street.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity at a residence in Hyde.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on U.S. Route 322.
- Police assisted MHMR personnel on Leonard Street.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a township resident who was found to be OK.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespass on Route 879.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct on Route 879.
- Police received an animal complaint that occurred at Wal-Mart.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on U.S. Route 322 east.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications. Upon investigation police learned that an inmate in a prison in El Paso, Texas had attempted to contact a township resident. Police made contact with the authorities in Texas and they intended to revoke the inmate’s phone privileges.
Sandy Township
- On Monday police reported that a 45-year-old DuBois man told them that while his truck was parked at the Falls Creek Sheetz, someone hit and damaged it and then left the scene.
- On Monday police reported that a 35-year-old Hanes Drive woman told them that someone poured mustard all over the front of her vehicle. She also stated that her neighbor’s vehicle had mustard on it.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Monday at a Corbet Road business.
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call Tuesday at a Circle Road residence. The call was accidental and officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Tuesday police reported that a truck driver told them that while he was asleep in his truck at the Pilot Travel Center, someone hit and damaged his truck. Witnesses were able to get some information from the truck and provide it to the driver.
- On Tuesday police received a report from a Wal-Mart manager that there was a suspicious man sitting against the building, and when she asked him to leave he refused. Officers arrived and discovered the man was homeless, and he asked police to take him to the hospital. Police handled the situation without incident.
Decatur Township
- Police were stopped by a cemetery caretaker for grounds off of Bucket Line Road. During a fireworks display, people were on the grounds and he wanted them removed due to littering and ongoing criminal mischief.
- Police located a suspicious vehicle occupied by two people along the Drane Highway. Further, police determined that everything was OK.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred along U.S. Route 322 in Philipsburg. It involved a tractor-trailer that appeared as though it would lose a tire; however, police were unable to locate it.
- Police received a complaint about an electrical hazard in the area of New Liberty Road where a large truck had pulled wires down.
- Police located several suspicious vehicles but determined nothing criminal in nature.
