CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County 4-H Teen Council is seeking nominations for its annual 4-H & FFA Royalty Contest.
The contest is open to current 4-H & FFA members, as well as 4-H & FFA alumni.
The contest serves three primary objectives:
- to increase awareness of the 4-H & FFA programs;
- to recognize current and past 4-H & FFA members for their involvement and dedication to the programs; and
- to raise money for the programs.
A nomination form can be found on page 116 of the 2016 Clearfield County Fair Premium Book. Premium Books are available online at www.clearfieldcountyfair.com
Ages divisions include the following four categories: Ages 8-14 (4-H Members), Ages 15-21 (4-H & FFA Members, with this category also including 4-H alumni ages 19-21), Ages 22-35 (4-H & FFA Alumni) and Ages 36 & older (4-H & FFA Alumni).
Please note, organizers will only open the contest age divisions that receive three or more nominations. If organizers do not meet that minimum, the nomination fee will be returned to the parson making the nomination.
You can self-nominate or nominate someone you feel made a positive impact in the 4-H or FFA program. Completed nomination forms, along with a $2 nomination fee are due to Penn State Extension in Clearfield County, 6395 Clearfield-Woodland, Hwy., Suite 1, Clearfield, PA 16830 no later than Friday, July 22.

Fairgoers will have the opportunity to look at photos and read bios for each nominee and vote in a locked box using spare change.
Voting will be set-up in the Grange & Agricultural Building during fair week. All winners will be announced during the Clearfield County 4-H & FFA Junior Livestock & Poultry Sale on the morning of Aug. 6. All age category winners will receive awards.
